THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I like the system becaues it does allow for a co-witness with the existing iron sights. I'm curious about if anyone has had any issues with this sytem. In particular any corrosion issues with the mating of aluminum components against the steel parts of the barrel, rear sight block and gas block. Any feedback? |

I've had mine mounted on the gun for about a year with no issues. A friend has had his mounted for a few years with no issues. It's been holding up very well

I have this set up using a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot. I'm pleased with it, BUT if you're into doing 30-round mag dumps the red dot is going to be exposed to a lot of heat.
I'm more of a "deliberate" shooter than a bumpfire guy so I'm less concerned about heat issues. |

I also have the TRS-25 and the damn thing has been way too hot to touch after going through some mags, but it is still working perfectly fine. I'm really not concerned with the heat other than burning my hands.

I just did a drum dump last weekend. Works great. Hot as hell but no. Problems, with the Ultimak and TRS-25.
