Gunkote's AK-Black over parkerize.
The trunnions, receiver, rivets, and trigger guard were blasted and parked before assembly. Then after test fire the whole rifle was blasted, parked, and painted. |

Nice one gunfighter...I have one sitting on layaway at work. The second I opened the box to tag the gun and put it on the shelve, I thought I saw a tear run down its safety and then it asked me to take it home....can't let a gun like that go homeless

SA85M. If you look close, you'll see that it's partially 'de-neutered', but retains the original sight base and gas block. Everything on it/in it is FEG. But, I want an AMD 65! Guess I'm never satisfied.

Interesting question, that. I'll have to put my people on it and get back to you.

Hey, I just pushed the button on an AMD-65 like gunfighter's (last night). Can't wait to get it. I talked with a local builder (very prolific, he builds for a company) about it, and he thought it was a very good deal at $529, considering the FEG receiver and wood grips. I fired the SA85M today for the first time in about 10 years. It has a very light trigger and will probably be easy and fun to bump fire. I have more sighting-in to do with it when I can get to the 100 yd range. With the rear sight on '1', I will set it to zero at 100. That should make the battle sight and other range settings about right.
Lumpy: I'm not advocating anything, and I couldn't care less what you think about my carbine. I unfortunately misspoke when I wrote that everything in it was FEG. It has been a long time since the work was done, and I forgot about 922r. It's in compliance. |
