Love my SAM 7 R but I do tend to burn my support hand on the gas tube.  I'd like to put a Magpul hand guard on it, and then mount a vertical grip on the hand guard.  I know there are several railed hand guards that work but I'd rather have the Magpul as I don't need all the extra rails.

The question is: will the Magpul fit on SAM 7 R?  Will any/a lot of fitting be required?  Does anyone here have first hand experience with this combination?

Thanks.

I'd like to know if a Magpul will fit on a SAM7, too.  Come on AK experts, let us both (all) know.

Thanx, Dave.

not a sam7r but I put one on my milled ak63d.It took a dremel and some fitting ,but nothing that 20 minutes of going back and forth with the dremel and putting it back together to fit it didn't fix.

Nice looking guns.  Thanks for the information.  I'm always happy to break out the dremel.
