I have a milled SLR-95 and cannot get the handguard retainer snug over the handguard tabs no matter how much I beat it with a hammer. Anyone have any tips / tricks / suggestions?  It was nice and tight when I had the Ultimak (most likely because of the clamps), but now that I took the Ultimak off last night and went with a factory gas tube I cannot get the lower handguard tight. It has a tiny bit of wiggle room, making a clicking sound, and the lever flops around instead of being very hard to press down to lock in place.

Low tech fix....I've used a toothpick between the retainer and the handguard to create and interference fit in the past.

thanks for the suggestion. I would up wrapping the tab on the back of my handguard that goes into the receiver with electric tape a few times to fatten it up a little. Now I had to beat it into the receiver but theres no sounds, no play, and its solid
