THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I chose the Bulgarian style fore end & "fat" checkered grip, definitely worth the extra few bucks. Took her to a gun show this morning in hopes of finding a plate, but no dice. I was approached a total of six times by persons asking about the rifle and if it was for sale.

Looks great. And I'm glad to see you went with the matching wide grip, as it really completes the overall look.
Whenever I get some extra money together, I'm gonna do a SA-93 to Bulgy Type 3 conversion and use this rejuvenated Bulgy stock set. ![]() |

It shoots great, the quality on these rifles is outstanding. Mine has never jammed in any way, and the overall feel is of a solid well built rifle. The action is very smooth. I had to buy a proper sight toll to get mine sighted in, but that really was no big deal as once it is set you most likely will never have to mess with it again.

That really looks spectacular. I'm actually second guessing the synthetic furniture now.
I meet with Rifle Dynamics on Wednesday to discuss options for this as-new SLR95. Definitely the thumbhole stock has got to go. I keep thinking an Aimpoint T1 (or H1) up front co-witnessing the irons will be just the ticket. But somehow it doesn't seem quite right to mix traditional furniture with a railed hand-guard. If the muzzle brake works half as good as it looks, it's staying, too. Jim is going to have to talk me out of keeping the front-end as is. Again, that is a beautiful rifle, very tastefully done, sir. |

Beautiful!!!..I debanned my SLR 95 with a black plastic buttstock and pistol grip from Kvar to match the original front guard. I decided I was satisfied with that..but looking at your rifle..Man!! Aks just look so good with wood stocks..Awsome rifle Daffy!

Well done... I went kinda a different route and converted my SLR-95 to an underfold but replaced the polymer with wood. IMO it does a lot for the overall appearance of the rifle. Thanks for sharing.

How tough was the underfolder conversion? Did a smith do that for you? I would be interested in any details you may have. Is that the Polish underfolder kit from Apex?
