I agree with the Tapco Trigger and also red star has a good one also check your disconnector if it has a tail you will have to grind it off then no more slap...if you can post a pic of your trigger then we can let you know..

Trigger Slap Fix
For future reference. You should be pretty happy with your new G2 though, so it's not a waste. |

Trigger slap is actually very easy to fix. Look at the way the disconnector mates to the back of the trigger, that "full auto tang" or whatever you want to call it, will have a little metal scarring from when the disconnector slaps against the back of the trigger. If you Look closely you can see damage on the back of the trigger too. Take a file and file a little metal away where the contact points are. This is not affecting the trigger because you aren't filing the sear surfaces, just providing clearance between moving parts. File a little more than it takes to remove the dimple or slapping marks. This would give you more clearance than was there initially. To test, reassemble the fire control group, leave the cover off, and install the bolt/carrier. Pull the trigger all the way back and hold it. Use your right hand and cycle the action making sure you slam the bolt/carrier all the way back similar to firing it. If you feel the slightest push on your trigger, you still have trigger slap. Take it down and remove just a tad more metal on the back of the disconnector. Doesn't cost anything except a little time.

the arsenal FCG must be used with the tall rear trigger guard rivet or you will get trigger slap.
Solution is to install the correct rear trigger guard rivet, or cut the tail the rest of the way off the disconnector. The tapco disconnector has no tail, so slap is not an issue - hammer follow with those is usually the issue. |
