Went out to sight in(got the sight pusher and got it sighted in finally) the Ak got it sighted in. Came back and while cleaning I noticed that the rivet directly behind the safety lever was lose (slides in and out but wont come out) never noticed this before but its the first time Ive gotten out shooting after I got the sight pusher to sight it in right. Whats the best way to re-secure this rivet? im guessing probably has to go to a gunsmith as its 2years old at least?? I looked at all the rest and they all seem to be fine...AK shot well too yesterday! Ive been told to get it fixed but that its not as imminent a NEED as it would be if it was one of the up front rivets..true? false? Seemed to fire and do everything fine even with it lose(though as I said I dont know when or how long its been like that...could have happened last year and I missed it or could have happened last shot this range session..as ive noticed no difference in how it fired or anything)

If it is the rear trunnion rivet it can be resecured (smashed) with the right tools. If you have no experience or lack the tools maybe you could find someone in your area to help you out with it. I don't think you will have a catastrophic failure but you will need to fix it.
