THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT 1- Remove the gas block and front mount (not in favor) 2- Grind off the front sling mount (in favor b/c I have a belt grinder that could do the job) What is the best way to solve this issue? Thanks for your help! |

I ended up doing #2 and had to grind away more than just the mount section in order for the rail to fit properly.

Someone somewhere has a handguard retainer that clamps on or has a screw going through the top to you can install it without removing anything from the barrel, they're mostly used for Saiga conversions. If you ever decided to go back, that is.
