I have 3 AKs... one of my wasrs will smoke out around the end of the recoil spring and directly into my face with every shot. My other AKs do not do this. Is this a potential problem? does anyone know why this is happening? thanks guys

Are you talking about the rear of the recoil assembly where it dovetails into the rear trunnion? If so, you have gas leaking from somewhere which is not normal. First, look where the gas tube mates with the gas block. I assume its not a vented gas tube so you should see a few holes where the gas tube mates to the gas block. If not, all of the gas is being directed down the tube and into the receiver. If that looks fine, the only thing I can think of is a headspace issue.

Yea Id check the primers on your spend shells and post a pic here if so... Also I have seen dirty chambers not seal well enough to keep the gas from moving back into the receiver but Id clean everything and check head space and reshoot..On one build I have I had to drill my own holes in the gas tube cuz it came with none and I didn't like how it kicked me back so I just copied my other two Ak,s and never had a problem after that.....

The smoke is coming from the very back of the receiver where the "button" is for the recoil spring. If you put your nose all the way to the receiver when firing you will literally be breathing in smoke. I can handle it I just want to make sure the rifle doesnt blow up in my face

The rifle should not be pushing smoke out of the receiver cover.
First, have you cleaned the entire rifle throughly, twice, to remove all of the preservative. If not, do so. Any preservative left in the rifle will smoke when it gets hot. If it isn't cleaned out of the crevices in the receiver it will leach out when it heats up and will smoke. That smoke could be pushed out of the rear of the cover when the carrier moves back.
Second, have you examined the fired cartridge cases? If not, do so. Check for split cases and pierced primers.

If it is smoking from preservative there is no danger. If it is leaking from split cases or pierced primers you are at risk. Take the rifle and the cases to a gunsmith.

+1 on PP's comments. Another thing to look at: Is your gas tube and/or gas block vented? If not, excess gas could be traveling down the tube and into the receiver.
