Isn't there supposed to be a screw holding the stock on the rifle?  I can't pull the stock away from the receiver, but it certainly threaded for a screw.  How do I figure out what the thread pitch is and where do a I get a proper screw?

There is a spot for a second stock spring under the recoil spring assembly.  If you can't remove your stock it's because you probably have a screw there holding the stock in place.

also the sheet metal part of that stock that goes into the receiver is held in place by the PG screw and nut.

Someone will chime in on the correct thread pitch for that screw. I know I once went to Lowes or HD and picked one up. Required trimming and paint.

I'll try to doubled check for you later this evening but I'm pretty sure it's a M8x1.0 screw.

The screw used on my EG wire also uses a small crush washer.

Thanks for the help so far... getting this from a relative's estate.  Seems like it should be fun to shoot.
