Found a few pretty good deals at the gun show today.  

AK related:

Arsenal SLR-104FR, God know I don't need another one (this is the third 104 i own) but could not pass it up.  Unfired new in box, Sights, gas bock look arrow straight.  Perfect finish.  Paid under a grand with tax.  Descent price but cheaper than ordering one and I got to inspect it first.



Five Hungarian 20 rd tanker mags still in wrap - $80 for all 5.



Not AK but Commie items:


440 rd crate of Hungarian 7.62x54R - $100



M1895 Nagant Revolver.  1944 Izhevsk.  Older import with small import stamp on bottom of barrel instead if the billboard sized stamps they put on them now.  Looks unfired since refirb.  Included the original box, holster, lanyard, screwdriver and cleaning rod.  $200.





9x18 Mak ammo.  $2 per box.




Non- Commie, but pretty excited about this one:

Enfield No4 MK2 from 1955.  Unissued, looks maybe even unfired. 98% condition.  Numbers match on receiver, bolt, magazine and stock.  I had an identical rifle I sold on GB last year for just under $1100.  Seller was asking $550, I offered $500.  He agreed. I could not get my money out fast enough.




Few other miscellaneous items:
CMP .30-06, Garand grease pots, Mosin cleaning kit/oil bottle.

I budget X amount of $$ per month for gun related items.  For whatever reason, gun shows don't come here during the summer and I haven't bought much lately so luckily I had some cash saved up.

I have been more and more disappointed in the High Caliber shows in Houston Texas. Rarely even have anything interesting AK related even well before the surplus started drying up

I've walked out of the last three gun shows I've attended with only a token box of ammunition to justify the trip. Always disappointing.

Now that's how to do it!  Great score.  Which show was this??   I think I spent more in parking fees and FOOD at the last two shows I went to.  Absolutely nothing for me worth buying.

Much the same in Dallas.  Back in the day, at least Arsenal of Houston/Armory of Houston/whatever they called themselves at the time would have some interesting AK builds and parts, and Military Gun Supply from Ft Worth would have piles of neat surplus AK stuff to dig through.  Now it's just Magpul or Tapco accessories and overpriced Korean AK mags.

I go to the big show at Dallas Market Hall once or twice a year hoping to score like this but my luck hasn't worked out yet.
