I have wrapped the top of a couple triangle folding stocks in 550 paracord, as well as the top bar of a SAM7SF stock, but I have never tried wrapping the two bars of an underfolding stock. Has anyone done this with success? I'm wondering if the increased thickness will cause any lock-up problems in the folded position?

You'd only do one side depending on right handed or left handed, or am I wrong I am asking as I don't know?I like how that looks.

Thanks for the pic. I'd probably wrap both sides to maintain a uniform look.

I did 35 wraps, i think most do 50. Either way you make the number of wraps you want loosely, the feed the free end under the coils on the outside of the rail. Start at one end and wrap the coils tightly, when you get to the other end you hold that last coil and pull the free end. When making yhe wraps tight be sure the free ends run beside each other and dont cross of fall on the under side. The tight coils and pulli g the free ends will lock it all together. Cut the excess and your done. Its a pain and not sure im explaining it right but once ya do it you'll bewraping flashlightsand all kinds of stuff. LoL

I took a closer pic of it so maybe it all makes sence. The red lines are your free ends that you want to hang out on both ends. Have enough to wrap around your hands so you can pull the shit out of them. The tighter the better.

You can see the end of the free end that i cut ( it has a white core), removeing the excess after its all tight. You can see the other free end going the other way right beside it. Somehow it got a kink in it.:/

The method I used, not hard and I like it best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8iHfOQc5OA
Another method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is8eIP3V9Qg

These aren't hard, I like mine a lot, and didn't take long to do once started. My underfolder looks a lot like the above pic.

I never liked the look of the basic straight wrap and wanted something a little fancier, this is what I went with:

It's called West Country whipping, good tutorials are on YouTube.
