Thinking about picking one up to ride around in the Jeep with me. Just wondering if it would fit in that little compartment behind the back seat. Its an '08 2dr, not sure what other models have the same compartment.

The other place it looks like you could store one is right behind the compartment, where the factory jack sits.

Complementary pics of stuff:

Maadi pic came out fuzzy. Changed pic to one of Mrs. Mustangduckk preparing my dinner pic a few weeks ago.

It's been a while since I sold the 2dr but I think the pistol grip might be a deal breaker unless you wedge it in at 45 degs.
I'll try tomorrow to put a AR pistol into a 2013 4dr just for giggles.

Actually it fit pretty well. I'll post pics as soon as my slow ass connection gets them uploaded. The pistol is in the second pic by itself for reference.

My AR pistol is 24 1/4 by 9 3/4 and touches all four sides of the under deck area in a 2013 4 door.

I don't have either. What's the inside dimensions?
EDIT
according to Tuffy the under seat box is 17x6.5x3.325
An AR lower is going to fit tight on those dims. its 15x6.5x1.75ish
The upper with a 7.5 in barrel and a standard A2 hider is going to be about 16.5+/- x2 (plus the height of any sight system) x 2.75 (unless you use a slickside)

Ok, kewl thx for the info. I've been wondering about this for some time. I will be ordering my 2016 Rubicon unlimited in August/September when the order banks open up and was sure if a AR pistol would fit.

My 105 fits in the trunk compartment of my '12 with the stock folded. It won't fit with a magazine inserted, though
