Question. Do the Bulgarian 104/105s have a smooth dust cover like the Russians, or do they have the ribbed covers?
View Quote

Based on pics of different military models listed on the Arsenal Bulgaria website, it seems that they have moved to the smooth dust covers on both the milled and stamped 102/104/105 variants.

So do you guys have a list of FSB attached extended muzzle devices for getting a 16" barrel when pinned? I'm looking into options for building one of these but my AK google-fu is weak.

Folded it makes a perfect 7.62 PDW truck gun in a tennis racket case

Where's the trash can ? JK, the AK'S pictured in this thread are some of the beautiful ones I've ever seen, great photography as well though when they look like that even a Polaroid would of look good. Glad my stamp was approved, just waiting for Manticore to restock and I'll be posting some pictures myself.

Joe, that booster is entirely too clean, you have to do something about that!

Anyone know the guy that was making Bulgarian timed boosters for like $50 each?

I can't seem to find the thread from a couple months back.. and while the ones by Chris Butler are nice they are just somewhat spendy when you need 3.

I used JMAC also, at least until I can find a real Bulgy. Quality is good. You won't be disappointed I think.

AFAIK there are no real bulgy AK-104 boosters; only the bulgy 4 piece.

I just bought the gas block and sent it to Troy at inrange and he did the work.  I didn't ask if he had to open the gas port or not.

Are the gas blocks readily available?

I got it at k-var, but it looks like they're out of stock.  If you keep an eye on their site, they come in stock every so often.

This is Vera:

She was built from random parts found in a friend's garage and assembled by Azex.

She features a Yugo bolt carrier and gas block/front sight combo

The rear sight base and front trunnion are Romanian.

The top cover is East German, as well as the safety/selector lever and trigger guard.

No idea where the bolt came from, and the recoil spring assembly is possibly from either a milled gun or an RPK parts kit.

She runs on a US made Hungarian AMD 65 gas piston, and is topped off by a US copy of the Bulgarian 4 piece flash hider.

And for all that she shoots like a dream.
