I recently got a used saiga bak132 made by atlantic firearms for $600. I shot 60 round threw it and worked flawless, but this one thing is really bugging me. On the end of the barrell inside the receiver there is a indent that looks like bullets feeding wore it down. I want to know what its from like high round count and if i should worry about it. It came with a korean mag that does look that high quality and it has a huge gouge in it from rounds cycling. i added a pic of the barrell and help would be appreciated

So it's from bump firing? Is it a bad thing? Will accuracy decrease or have feeding problems or the barrell go bad sooner than it should?

Nope, posted doubletap because I accidentally clicked twice and posted the same thing twice

Your rifle is fine.  Some builders do that to make feeding a little more reliable.  I don't think its needed, but it doesnt hurt anything.  It was probably there when the rifle was brand new.

Thanks for the reply, so you think it may have been done by atlantic to make it feed better after they converted it?

Ive notice it on my Russian guns as well. It wont hurt anything, so do freak out. Too many people see shit like this and think they have a problem. Shoot the fuck outta the rifle and enjoy it.

You might want to consider replacing the Korean mag with some milsurp mags.

I'm planning on it. The bolt actually made a pretty decent gouge in the mag from riding on it. That's what I thought May have caused the barrel to do that
