Hi guys/gals,

New to the forum here .

I just bought a lovely Tula SKS 1950, never used. So, I just thought to myself, an AK would accompany it nicely, being the two guns who contended the USSR tender at that time!

I have two AK's to choose from. They are both converted to semi-autos from used AKs respectively (only pre-46 full auto's are legal here). They AKs in question are both milled.

So there is the Yugoslavian M70, milled, however, lacks a chrome-lined barrel.

M70

And then there's the AK47GN, where the GN apparently stands for, grenade variety, which has the chrome lined barrel, and is pricier.

AK47GN

As both models are refurbished, while it is obvious where the M70 is made, I have no clue where the AK47GN is made.

What would you suggest?

Thanks!

Welcome! The "AK47GN" is a Polish variant, and would be the one that I would pick, personally. No real reason other than I simply prefer the quality of Polish AK's.

Thank you for the reply! Glad to finally know the origins of the AK47GN! Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated
