Must be why I am attracted to it. I love AKs because of KISS and I love folders, both my AKs have a triangle folder.

Hard to tell in the photo (cell phone picture)
But in person there is a night and day difference between the gray and black rifle.

Which mag well adapter are you using?

Here you go.

That is the same adapter as the one Magnolia Stata Armory made, right? Looks like the one in my hand.. Is it smoother than the one I have? My MSA adapter is REAL stiff when manipulating the mag release on both sides..

SLR-106UR, got some new furniture for it. Love the look of the wood, but I discovered the hard way that the polymer hand guard with heat shield is a lot easier on the hands when firing, I forgot how quick the wood heats up.

just got it in. My first ak, I like it so far, just dislike the sights.
What is the lever on the right side near the rear sight?

That little lever releases tension on the gas tube/upper handguard assembly, so you can remove it for cleaning.

Did someone thread your barrel for you?

I will have to get some shots of my .223 Saiga and post them.  It is your basic conversion with a wire folder and one of those struts they sell to get a cheek weld on it.  I can't remember the name of the company that makes them though.  It also has a Ultimak and I will eventually get around to puting a micro dot on it.  I use modified Orlite Galil magazines with it.  I should have bought more when they were still cheap.  I still have to get it threaded for a flash suppressor.

Yep 1/2x28. I didnt want the suppressor going to waste sitting in the safe. I sold off my AR's to jump into the AK's. Only AR stuff I have left is one SBR lower in case I ever want to pick an upper up some day again.

Looks like Rifle Dynamics(?) bolton FSGB.

Thank you- yes its a Bolton, the same one RD uses. I pretty much tried to build something similar to Haley's light weight 5.45, only I wanted it in 5.56.

Picked this '06 Saiga up at a LGS for a good price, just finished the conversion today. It likes Galil mags, both steel and polymer, Beryl mags work OK and I'm still working on getting Bulgarian mags to fit.

That's a beautiful little rifle. I really like the magazine, do they make 20 round Beryl mags or is that custom made?

This one is wearing some BFPU style Ironwood blemished furniture that I finished in iodine orange.  The upper handguard is for an AKM, but I thought I'd use it since it was blemished anyway.  I love finishing laminate wood.

They make them at the factory, so they are original one. However they do not have separate mold for 20/15/10/5rd mags, they cut 30rd body and fix steel base plate lips for it, so they come slightly more expensive than 30rd ones. There are also not "surplus" mags. I like 20rd mags, because they make nice, slick package with Mini Beryl.

Might as well jump in here.

Love my SLR-106.  It'll make a believer out of the "5.56 doesn't belong in an AK" crowd!
