Gabe Suarez? Don't care one way or the other. The weapons in question on the other hand I can readily comment on as I have each in my stable. HK/PTR91; great weapon, battlefield accurate, very heavy, sledge hammer like recoil in .308 but any grown man can handle it easily. The PTR32 in 7.62x39 is the cats meow however. Very nice package, 16" barrel, zero recoil and accurate. Love mine. Sig 556/551; excellent weapons as well, relatively lightweight and good handling. A few ergo quirks like the safety placement but utterly reliable and reasonably accurate. Mine is currently in classic config(started out as an AR stock style) and takes STANAG mags but the newer 551(american) model looks great also. As for the AK platform what else can be said. In my mind its the gold standard in "go to" weapon. To these rumblings I've heard in the last few years questioning the systems legendary reliability I say "poppycock"! I've got no less than 7 AK pattern weapons and each has done nothing but run and run and run. Nuf said!

People will shit on the PTR or uzi as being antiquated, but as soon as gabe starts pushing his sales on those weapons, all of a sudden they are the best out there and everyone has to have one. I am glad he is showing that some of those older platforms are just as functional as ever and he is bringing good mods to the market, but his devoted legions and selling practices just turn me off. summarize: good trainer, good information, shady business practices. |

I think the goons over at WT are actually trawling these threads for users to ban on their board.
I went to check out a thread on there a bit ago to find out I was banned from the board, but I don't recall ever even posting anything on their forum. |

I was surfing the interwebs once and came across this new and exciting AR magazine. It was tan, and had metal feed lips, and looked exactly like a lancer magazine, except for the color. The seller announced that it was in fact, the latest and greatest, unlike anything else in the market. In the thread, a half dozen fan boys announced that they would immediately sell all of their other magazines, and replace them with the afore-mentioned Suarez magazines, even though they hadn't been released yet, and nobody had tested one.
I had to laugh, because it was clearly a lancer magazine, made of different color plastic. That was my first and last Suarez experience. |

Right before the fallout with Rifle Dynamics and his break away from the AK platform, I simply stated I wouldn't pay $900-$1200 for an AK. I would be happy with a WASR, Bulgy kit build, or SAR. If I was going to spend more than $700, I would get an AR. That got me banned. Now, if you read post #7 on this thread, his instructor is saying the same thing! I'm happy to be banned BTW. |
