I like it myself. What's the weight, it can't be light.

Not my cup of tea for an AK. I agree that one should just go with an AR if this is the way you want to go.

It looks like someone wanted an AR.

The trick for those who own AKs and have AR envy is to buy both.

I like it all but the stock...it just doesn't go imo. handguard should have been black too.

I don't really agree with the above responses. Some people like the known reliability of the AK, the larger round, and cheap readily available ammo. With those things considered and the want/desire for an "enhanced" AK I don't see anything wrong with adding modern parts and features. As for this particular rifle, it does seem like it would be heavy with all the extras and it seems too long for my taste. If you removed the upper rail and rear block to use a midwest industries rail and a internal block/buffer tube it would cut down a little weight and length.

That is only my opinion though. Someone spent some time and money on the rifle.

this

Thing that occurs to me is that this piece might be the ultimate stealth AK for those who don't want to alarm the locals with the more "evil" appearance of the normal AK.

had one similar to that. Too heavy for my tastes. Prefer a polymer hand gaurd. Drop the eotech just use standard iron sights. AK was not designed to be a rifle to add trinkets to it like an AR. The only thing I like about the AK is the reliability and the 7.62 round. The rest of the gun sucks, which is why I sold mine.

I believe it's the Samson Manufacturing AK rail. Big $$$. It's a little too much for me. Railed Handguards with a light and maybe an optic is just fine. I like to increase the capability of my weapons, but all of that stuff makes it look like the guy wanted the rifle to do the shooting for him IMHO.

Well the shoulder thing that goes up is definitely HAWTNESS, but I wonder if it's got the firing pin filed down to make it full otto.

I too, am of the mindset that it's not a bad idea to enhance a reliable workhorse like the AK, but in this particular case, I like everything except the buttstock. I like 'em compact, and this one looks like it's 8 feet long.
You don't want any part of me right now, I'm full of bitterness, Scotch, and impure thoughts!!!!

Just because you can do something, it doesn't mean you should do it.

Ha! I like that.

The AK, not my cup of tea either. As for cheap round, 556/223 is pretty low too these days (Tula ammo and other Russian stuff) so I don't see that as a viable argument anymore.

I think it's great! If you like the AK platform better than the AR then why not customize it to your liking. I certainly do. I prefer the aimpoint t1 with MI optic specific handguard to get co witness over using an eotech and cheek riser but to each his own.

Awesome!!!!

The stock was chosen to have a good cheek weld. It's not my favorite either.

Tula and some other Russian stuff is available and better than it use to be, but shooting steel in some ARs can void a warranty sometimes or cause breakage. The AK was meant to shoot steal so you have absolutely no worries doing so. I think this point is still very valid.

Meh. I'm a wood and steel traditionalist, so that would not be the way I'd have spent that money. AK + commie sling + ammo = done.

Not for me.

I like my firearms plain and simple, personally I wouldn't add anything on AK.

but each their own. if you like it, that's what matters.
