I had the exact setup on my rifle. It was plenty solid. Didn't like the MOE K though. Changed it out for a BCM Gunfighter Mod 0.

I have one with a MIAD. It hasn't broke yet, but I'm sure it will. It bothers me that I have a potential weak point on my AK.

Do you already have a K-Grip, and maybe a MOE or MIAD to compare it with? The MOE and MIAD grips have an extra hole that lines up perfectly with the AK grip nut. All you have to do for them is use a dremel to widen out the top of the grip for the nut and shave off the "tongue" thing on the back.

When I held my MIAD up to the receiver with the B1 backstrap(no tail), it seemed like it would be way too close to the receiver/trigger and uncomfortable as hell, so I ordered the adapter. I don't care for the flimsy plastic ACE uses, so at this point I'm willing to try it. BTW, when I clean my AK it gets pretty messy. I flush the solvents out with a water hose. The diluted solvent got on the ACE adapter and it started to melt. I could wipe the material away with a rag it got so soft. Now it seems even more brittle than before. Just a word of caution. Someone please make an aluminum adapter since Magpul won't listen to us and make AK parts. I love the MIAD with the B3 and I don't want anything else. |

The standard Magpul grip seems too angled to my eye, hence my interest in the MOE K. But from what you guys are telling me, the ACE adapter is so-so. Should I perhaps try a US Palm instead? |

I had an ACE adapter. It fit poorly and had a small amount of wobble. It was a total waste of money.

I liked the angle of the MOE. It just felt too small. The BCM has a similar angle and a better feel. I did some fitting on the ACE adapter to optimize the fit and it writers well. |

So far the ACE adapter is holding up for me I've put about 500 rounds down range since putting it on. I had to sand it down in places to make it fit correctly with the MOE grip. I have a small gap between the adapter and grip back-strap. all the edges are sanded smooth so I don't even notice it. looking a it now I probably would have modified it differently so the back-strap sits flush with the reciever. In any case I like the feel and look of it and I made a angled washer so with the grip bolt cranked down there isn't any wobble.
