THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
here ya go! the rear sight was worn as was the recoil rod assy tang. I steel blued them and all is well. the KG guncote looks great! definitely black. muzzle brake isnt a zig-zag. its just little sits instead of legit cuts. I'll get a legit one in a bit. the stock...WOW polymer feels awesome!! I'm a traditional wood huy but damn this stuff and the lower ones molding design is so tactile and grippy! it feels almost as grippy as magpul rail covers, just molds in your hands.

I also threw on my RPB us part stock for the AKS look, and i absolutely LOVE this stock and needed to buy more years ago!

Will be buying some plumb/bakelite/black bulgy mags. they aren't as easy to get anymore. J&G has em for decent. I want a few nice ones and GB has some for sale :)

As soon as the RPB stock went on I decided that my next rifle is the SGL-31 sidefolder. this one is just the range pig/slidefire host :). I think I just hit 5.45 epiphany

Beautifull rifle! The bulgarian 74 will always be my favorite and you will notice is about a half pound to a pound lighter than the newer arsenal versions. It will be soooo badass with a slidefire on it. Just so you know, that mussel break is the correct one for your rifle, so is the polymer. In '90 they switched from wood and zigzags to there own design halfmoon break that you have, so aslong as your rifle says 30 or 31 on the trunnion its correct. Also, its alittle shorter and maybe better by a tiny bit? Who knows?

yep i am assume ALL 5.45 is corrosive unless it says it on the box...and then STILL I'm gonna go with assuming corrosive lol.

i had a spam can of 7.62x39 and i cleaned my weapons really well so I never noticed any bad effects. glad i cleaned so well years ago!

Great rifle but you don't need ammonia to clean corrosive. Just use water, then dry and clean normally

Windex is a great one too. If you just take a bit of windex and spray the essential parts down it will stop the salts long enough for a solid wash.

i heard the wondex trick. i keep hearing dofferent stuff. im not opposed to trying different things.

i habe a whole bottle of the sweets and a ton of CLP. windex can be added easily to the stock.

in regards to the sheets hats my old roon at my parents house i stay in, im only 28 lol. i come home on the weekends.

Well, I just used some pure power knockoff windex (this bottle said with ammonia) and had it streaming out of the barrel. did it to all the moving parts and gas tube as well then cleaned off and lubed with CLP. that will be my std method.

LOL, nuthin' much going on with the right side but a scope rail

since i feel like pic whoring some more for the sake of people learning heres a good comparison...the RPB one is just a TAD bit longer than the US stock sets. the lineup goes East German, SAR-1 Romy, US blonde refinished, Original Waffen black stock, RPB.

heres one with the original stock you get with the rifle next to the RPB one:

and one next to a SAR-1 with a Romy legit comblock stock set:
