Local gun shop has a thumb hole stock Serbian AK 47 for $700. What is the quality of Serbian rifles and is that a good price ? serial # ZAPAP 100––- Any better than standard Yugo ?                                        - Thanks for the info. Sounded high to me, but I didn't know how high. Again thinks for the help

If it's a PAP like the pic below, it's dramatically overpriced.  They normally go for $400-ish.

IIRC that rifle only accepts 10 shot magazines and requires machine work on the trunnion to convert it to accept standard magazines.

Exactly. While the Century Wasr's come into the US with a narrow magwell opening, the front trunnion is a hi cap part. These Yugo guns use a narrow opening front trunnion, which makes hogging out the opening much more labor intensive.  GARY  N4KVE

Local Cabella's has a bunch of them for either $399 or $349, (can't remember which).

and even after all the work it probably wont feed correctly, and the buttstock cannot be changed out into a PG configuration.

I wish the serbs would make it easier to convert these rifles

Why can't the buttstock be changed out? Is the rear trunion different than a standard one?

It can be changed out, a M70 butt stock will bolt right up.  The slant receiver raises aesthetic issues, it really looks like ass unless something is done to accommodate the receiver slant.

well I didnt know that you could put a m70 stock on it, but your right about the aesthetics it would not look right.
