People can borrow them for free all I ask is that you reimburse me for shipping them to you. By borrowing them you are assuming responsibility to replace them if lost or damaged. I just used them last week to thread a barrel on a SAR1 and the die cuts fine.
2. When shipping the tools (back to me or the next person who needs them) they are to be sent with tracking and insured for $75.
3. Make sure you know what you're doing before you attempt to use them. There are a number of videos on you tube that discuss how to cut threads with a die. If you have any questions I will help you out. Your barrel will need to be .550 or larger to be able to thread 1x14 LH.
4. Be able to provide proof of tracking, insurance and condition when you send it back to me or to the next person. In other words if the next person gets the tools and says "it's missing XXXX or the die is messed up" the last person to borrow them assumes responsibility for the replacement unless he can show proof otherwise.
5. To save shipping costs if you borrow the tools you can hold onto them until somebody else says they need them and ship them to them under the same conditions above.
6. All requests to borrow them are to be posted in this thread and are for AR15.com members ONLY. At no time are they to be loaned out to anybody not associated with AR15.com. In other words don't borrow them and then let Billy Joe Jim Bob from work borrow them or anybody else.

If you don't agree to these terms then don't ask to borrow them. Although this is not the EE, I have loaned these tools out before under these conditions and a long time (10 yr) member had his account locked for welching on these terms (linky) so anybody who screws this up will be turned over to site staff and they will deal with that person how they deem appropriate.

Here are the tools and what they should look like when anybody gets them. Die handle, 1x14mm LH die and 7.62 TAT:

PM sent about borrowing the barre threading tools.

I'd like to get in line to borrow the muzzle threading tools.
I don't have many extra AK items to put up, but will look through my stuff and see what I have.
Thanks.

Let's keep the thread going!
I have a ugly (according to the discussion board!) vertical grip up for grabs.
What you see is what you get.

I was actually planning to grab one of those off Gunbroker sometime this weekend, wouldn't mind snagging that up.

In return I'll put up a wood pistol grip. I have no idea where I got this, or who made it. I think it's a completely custom made grip and not a refinished surplus one, but it's actually a really nice grip. If anyone wants it it's yours.

I'll take the wood pistol grip.

I have several leather slings that I believe are Romanian. I'll offer however many I can fit in a small flat rate USPS box. I'd think 2, maybe 3, would fit.
I also have a 1' rubber butt pad/stock extension for an AK stock I'll offer up for grabs.

ETA: Some look better than others but here is an example of one of the slings.

ETA: also, it would be nice to be courteous to the person giving you this gift. An IM with just your address in it, no thank you when you say it's been shipped at your own expense, and no thank you when it's been received are not signs of courtesy. Especially when you yourself purchased the item a few days prior for 15 bucks and then refinished it and then spent a few dollars sending it across the country.

Dude, this is not a charity thread, its a PIF. Quit whining about people not posting "something cool" and quit requesting items. I have given away dozens of items in PIF's and only received a few. Its just the name of the game. Man up and wait your turn.

There are a couple people here who have taken items and said they were going to post some. that is against the rules of the thread.

True but oh well, it happens.

BTW your posts are in violation of this rule.
Posts should consist only of an offer or a claim. The idea is to avoid lots of dibs posts that are followed by "still available because Joe didn't really want it" posts.

Ok, Enough of the posts with "I'll take xxxx and let me look around for something to offer up".

***If you post in this thread that you want something, post what you offfer up at the same time or do not post, period*** .

Also, you should be offering something of similar value to what you are taking or an item that people could use, not takeoff PG's or other parts (unless rare/collectable) that everybody has a dozen of lying around.

It's not a "give me free shit" thread, it's a "pay it forward" thread!!

If you don't have anything of much/equal value there's always team memberships you could give to help support this site that we all have gained and shared knowledge from.

It's kinda difficult to see what I have to offer when I'm posting from work. Also, what could be just another PG to one person could be valuable to another.

If a US marked pistol grip is not "good enough" of an item for me to offer up for grabs, then I guess you can cancel my last post, and I'll go back to the TEAM forum or the Survival forum and offer it up there.

Sheesh.

My post wasn't directed at just you, it was meant to be more of a general reminder of the rules but since you have a beef with what I had to say allow me to reply....

It's kinda difficult to see what I have to offer when I'm posting from work. Ok, it's been a couple of days, What do you have to "offer" to go along with your "take"?

Also, what could be just another PG to one person could be valuable to another. Well if you have the same US "takeoff" PG's that have already been offered up and still available because nobody wants/needs them then I would say that's not much you're offering up. I have a half dozen lying around that I'd give away but since there are so many already and it's probably the most common available part there is I figured I'd offer up things people might be able to actually use instead. You'll notice that in my very first "offer" post I offered up a brand new Hogue grip, not the half dozen take offs.

all you want, just common sense/courtesy.

If a US marked pistol grip is not "good enough" of an item for me to offer up for grabs, then I guess you can cancel my last post, and I'll go back to the TEAM forum or the Survival forum and offer it up there.

Sheesh.

Imply I'm being an asshole all you'd wish but like I said this is a "pay it forward" thread, not an "I want free shit" thread. People should be posting their "offers" at the same time as their "takes". This thread is intended to be just as much about helping others than to helping yourself. If you don't have much to "offer" but want something, there's always a free team membership you could offer up and help support the site.

I have a 30-round Romanian mag, a set of FAB(?) polymer foregrips, a UTG(I think) aluminum side mount scope rail, and a FAB skeleton stock. I can post pics later if needed.

I'm looking for a single point sling, and 10 or 20-round mags, preferably steel.
