I would personally make it a Krink, go short. That or the Draco pistol maybe.

Another vote for a Draco.  That's the route I'm gonna take to an SBR AK.

Not mine, but an example of a Draco turned SBR:

Draco is prob. the easiest and cheapest one to do. Really depends on what you want and which caliber.

+1 on the 107-CR. I like that my SBR has the same parts of a full size AK.  It is VERY light compared to others (including a draco with rail and CTR stock) and it functions 100%.  Anyway, just another idea, but I'll probably have a krink in the future too so either is good in my book.

I seriously want to make love to that Draco every time someone posts it.

Well.... not mine.... your own, but you get the idea.

SLR-107UR + Stamp + cutting disc + file + crowning tool = SBR goodness

If I could find a 223 draco or 545 (gasp) I'd be all over an SBR AK. I just can't bring myself to get back into 762 :(

Once my Form 1 gets back I'll post a home build that I'm waiting to put together.

There are .223 versions of Draco's.  They're called Champions.

I'm not sure on their availability though.

Not quite. You also need to pull the front sight gas block and remove the bushing in the block that limits the gas return on an umondified 107UR.

Have you actually done this?
I remember reading on here that the gas cylinder on those are damn near impossible to get off without damaging them and if you are going to try it its best to have a new gas cylinder in case you have to cut yours off.

Yea, but I haven't seen any for awhile. I have been thinking about doing an AR since I have a pinned 14.5" and would love to do a 11.5" too.

I tried but was unsucessful. After driving out the pins the gas block would not move or turn. I do not have a hydraulic press so I quit.  I ended up getting one done by HDPS. He stated he removes the gas block and bushing that is in it.

I've done it to my 107UR. Takes about 15 minutes maybe and is very easy. Take out the two pins then I used a small hammer to tap the FSB until it slid off. Then I just drilled out the bushing and installed it in the opposite order.  I have a press but it wasn’t needed. All you really need is a hammer, punch or used gas piston(punch), and a drill.

Yes, that fat, bearded f*ck banned me when I called him a fat bearded f*ck in the forum that encourages that kind of posting.  Tell them other schmucks in that forum I said they can still kiss mine.
