here ya go the system allows a last round bolt hold open wich took some work to a spare hammer to get working reliably. its mostly designed for pmags i put about 200 rounds through it so far with no issues and the lrbho works perfectly, drop a mag, slap a new one home hit the bolt release and boom ready to go. im thinking of using a us palm grip instead

its the archangel op four with adjustable cheekriser. with the top rail extending to the rear tang on an angle the cheekriser sits and covers the rail on an angle so perfectly its just looks like it was made for it

If your barrel is threaded 1/2x28 there are many good flash hiders out there If you're threaded in 14x1LH, there are still quite a few good FHs available, the most effective often being 3 or 4 pronged like the Krebs or Smith Enterprise Vortex.

Did a little more work on my WASR tonight.  I adapted a VZ58 folding stock to it.  I plan on using the same stock on my M92 pistol when my stamp comes in, so I figured this would be a good practice run.  I had to do a good bit more work on the WASR than i'll have t do to the M92, though.

Took a few better pics of my WASR that I fit with a VZ58 stock, along with some other goodies...

What quad rail is that? I've never seen that before!
Link Posted: 4/22/2014 8:08:30 PM EDT
[#20]
the quad rail is the saiga rail i dont like the ak handguards as they dont allow me to "stretch out" when handling the rifle. with longer hand guards im able to use the rifle in a way i might need to, a longer grip for more control for longer distances or a shorter grip or even a magwell grip for quick control.

Wow, so nice. How did you mount that hand guard, how does it hold up to heat? DannerTrax

Thanks, takes some cutting, heat, and fabrication. There are a few how to's on Google that give you an idea of what needs to be done.

Tech-Com, it's a mag funnel.  It works, but I do think it is overpriced at $47 shipped from Solar Tactical.  My brother was questioning it's functionality and I challenged him to a little contest.  I would let him say "Go" and we would see who could load mags into their rifle faster.  I beat him 20 out of 20 attempts and he is very familiar with AKs.

Castillo, thanks.  I appreciate it.

After going to a few rifle classes, there was always one thing I would fumble on. Reloads under stress.

After adding the magwell, That problem has all but gone away. Worth $47? I think so. Will I put it on all of my AK's? Doubtful.

How would it fail? If it did fail, would the gun be useless? Did it not improve reload times?

The ability to slam a mag in at a slight angle with no "rock and lock" is will worth it in my opinion.

It might be a fitment issue.  Some rifles have issues with them on the front tab where they hook the receiver.  They have been flawless for me.

Thanks for all the kudos, gentlemen.  It is much appreciated.  The rifle has been flawless through about 100-120 rounds thus far.  I am very happy.

It's not bad at all and definitely has better ventilation that that your standard forends.  I've put about 60 rounds through it in a short period of time and it was fine.

Be careful when firing. If you grip the AFG the Magpul way watch out for the gas. Keep your thumb away from that first vent hole on the gas tube cover.

Damn, looks like hardly any recoil. I thought about putting a tantal brake on my AMD. Apparently it doesnt need to be drilled out.
