Over the years I've owned quite a few AK47s in various configurations but sold them all. I recently came across this one, a Blackheart SAAK.762R. I've never really liked the oddly shaped wooden pistol grip that it came with. Plus the wood was that bright blonde wood that just looked out of place on it. I changed out the stock grip for the Hogue grip. But after thinking about ti I decided to reshape the original wooden grip and restain the wooden furniture to give it the look I wanted. This is the result of the restaining and reshaping. I think it looks 100 percent better. I did add a different top cover that had a picatinny rail and added the BSA red dot electronic sight. Thoughts?

I had it chopped.  I had it for a while and found I did not enjoy shooting it in its normal configuration.  I tried for a few months to sell it at a fair price and go nothing but lowball offers so I decided to make in to something a little more fun and unique.

Finslayer-  I love that look.  Did it start out as a Draco?  If so, did you have to replace the trunion with a stardard trunion?  I just got my form 1 back, but Im not sure on the look I want.  I was going to take the furniture of my Wasr and put it on my draco and then convert my wasr to a tactical AK.
