My latest build,

Both of these are also my builds with the one on the right being a khyber pass build. The rear trunnion is a standard AKM two rivet that was highly modified. The stock was built from scratch as well including the latch and all hardware in true KP fashion.

I have since added the correct Polish grip and Polish polymer magazines but I haven't had time to take updated pictures.

I changed these from this...

To this...

I think they look a little more "traditional" now, but I could be wrong.

Nope, it is semi-auto. Ted put on his new faux "Y" and "U" indents, as well as the faux 3rd pin. He did a dang nice job, in my opinion. Looks identical to the real thing..Ted's an amazing builder.

Thanks for all the nice compliments, guys!

What receiver is that built on?  I don't see any of the common markings for a US made one or import stuff for a preban gun.

It's a Nodak NDS-2SF. However, all the markings were moved by Ted to the bottom of the pistol grip reinforcement plate, so as to not mess up the "correct" look I was going for. The spot welds were also widened and expanded to proper Izhmash specs, and the "X" and "Y" indents were widened and radiused, again to make them look more like those seen on Izzy receivers (they are too small on the standard NDS-2s).

Nice.  Sounds like Ted is able to fix all my NDS receiver gripes... I'm sure it isn't cheap though

I've had cheaper projects Still, worth it, to me at least. Ted's a great guy to work with, and the project was a nice challenge. It was a lot of fun.

Parts kit, originally I built into a fixed stock but later saw it was an underfolder. So I rebuilt it again.
Cost about 3x the cost of buying one new but was fun doing it.
