Classic plum...love it!  I own its identical twin, but unfortunately my picture taking abilities don't do it justice.

It's definitely addictive, just Finslayer'ed another FDE MAGPUL grip for my 7.62 Saiga and this time I also did a couple of the TAPCO plum magazines that were anything but plum, more like bright purple. I went with a 2 to 1 mix of RIT chocolate brown and RIT wine.

Gtate, great close-up photo of that Magpul grip.  Now I'm considering doing that to one of my midlength AR's with Magpul furniture.

I got a little carried away this weekend, did the Magpul grip, two Tapco 7.62 mags, an MD Arms Molot grip and a clear Beryl 5.56 mag. I learned that RIT dye will stain the garage floor and the driveway, also, the clear Beryl magazine stayed clear but with a slight purple tint.

Just got a new Arsenal SLR104-32 plum AK from Atlantic.  Love it!  Got an Obzor as well.  Here she is with a Izzy plum mag.

You read my mind!  That's exactly what I thought as soon as I saw your photo, and before I read your post.

Finnslayer'd an FDE US PALM grip, used the liquid RIT dye, wine and dark brown; ended up with a dark plum/grape that looks almost black in this lighting. Also my first attempt at this; now I just need a nice plum mag to complete it!

Anyone know the magical ratio of RIT dye to get this "perfect" plumb color?? Echo93 KILLED it. In a good way, haha.

It was actually eggplant.  Looked like hammered crap so I changed to Sedona Red for the more traditional look.

LOL! E93 does some pretty creative stuff. Here are a few others from their FB page. It would not surprise me to see a Bakelite colored M4 from them next. LOL

I purchased a plum Arsenal SLR-107FR last February. To this day, it is my favorite AK that I own and one of my overall favorite firearms that I own. I plan on purchasing another plum 107 once they begin to ship 107's stateside again.

Wow, almost two years since the last post in this thread, unacceptable!

Got a set of Atlantic's plum furniture for the new M10, but it's going to be apart while I re-finish, had to see what it looked like on a rifle, so I installed it all on the mighty WASR 10/63, nice tight fit and stock even has a butthole for the cleaning kit, last pic I threw on an EG bayonet to demonstrate yet again the superiority of the legendary Tapco slot brake, bayo-compatible bitchez :
