I like it when the color is a little darker, the k-var sets don't look that bad

After looking at all these Plum beauties, I'm going to have to aquire one.  Is K-Var the best place to start?  I'd like the experts advice!!

Use US made parts other than the plum stock, at all costs. US made plum is lifeless compared to Soviet. The plum being sold as Bulgarian, is Soviet. Apex has sets for $35, dirt cheap.

Here is my '03 WASR.  Straight sights/gas tube & a good trigger (not a Tapco).

She wears a KVAR Plum set.

BTW, what does the 1/1 and 1/2 markings on the pistol grips from KVAR mean?

just replicates the mold numbers that would be found in original russian grips, both plum and bakelite.

Never thought I liked the plum look until I purchased a set from Apex. For $25 you could not beat the price so why not. Digging it now!

Does Apex still have these Plum sets?  I'm not finding them on their website.

Thanks,

D. Mark
