After a year or so of off and on work, it's done. Apex VG kit on rust blued Nodak and a sweet CFS lottery barrel. I used a Turbothis trunnion and a nos stock assembly for the UF conversion.

Dat plum gas block.

What's going on with that 74 brake? It's not timed right at all.

Since there isn't a single 74 on this page, perhaps you'd care to go back and quote the post you're talking about. Or keep reading past it, as it's likely been discussed already.

It's my first AK I bought many years ago. I just decided to change out the wood and modernize it. It's a WASR 10/63 so nothing to crazy but I must say the thing runs and never had a failure out of all my years of a shooting it. I wanted an Arsenal but guess that won't happen for a while now :/ anyway enjoy the pictures! Lol

How it use to look with wood. ( unloaded in picture)

Handguard is the US Palm and stock is archangel. So far I love the handguard. But the stock.....eeeeh for $40 it is what it is lol.

OK, lets try this again-

Just got my new 107FR in plum.Added a RS Regulate AK301,AKML mount, and an Aimpoint R1 micro red dot, and a Russian Mustard sling with a sling quiet on the clasp.

Did a little Rit Dye job on the US Palm grip and the Micro cover.

Update- Added 3 teaspoons of dark brown Rit Dye to make the micro cover more plum than it originally came out.

Finally caved and bought an M10. I watched stock dry up everywhere so I searched desperately to find one. Probably paid too much, but it was the only non-CA rifle I could find online. No glamour shots yet as I just brought her home tonight.

On the EE here. Its the PBS-5 Kvar sold years ago that is hard to find now. Other than that, a member named Ctrax makes them himself and its bare aluminum so it needs paint.

Looks great! No issues with it affecting accuracy? Someone on the AK Forum was mentioning muzzle devices affecting accuracy in his buddies gun...
First I've heard of it...

Thanks for the heads about ctrax.

ETA- found him on GB.

No issues here. Most places claim barrel extensions wont affect accuracy as long as they wont weigh a ton. Most of the are pretty wide internally so i cant see any bullets striking. This one will slip over the 16" barrel it was designed to cover but if you chop it and pin it, its wide enough for the bullet to pass through.

Perhaps maybe that guys friend had it installed incorrectly.

Edit: Ctrax can also be found on various AK forums

Curious, did you make that yourself or bought them like that? And is it legal? I wonder if it would still be considered high cap since they are permanently attached to each other, technically being one magazine that holds more than 15.
