This is the original modernized version of the venerable Chinese/Communist chest rig! It is made from modern materials for added durability. We ditched the small pouches from the original and added Molle compatible webbing so you can ad what you need.
It will hold 6 standard 30 round AK47 or AK 74 Magazines OR 9 standard USGI 30 round M4/AR15 Magazines. ! $49.99 Mirage or Multicam add $5 www.762tactical.com Heck yeah! 762 Tactical all the way! I have one for each rifle set up, now. Krink, Yugo and AR. all identical, except color, so training is the same no matter what rifle I take that day. And I own page 7 |

Ive had a 762 chicom chest rig for a few years and like it very much. But the need for discretion is always present when u live in a densely populated area like i do. So after seeing some man purse active shooter diaper bags i decided that was perfect. So i grabbed some hawkepaks. i also ordered an extra mag shingle. One shingle holds 3 Ak74 mags, the other holds 6 ak 74 mags. Since there hook & loop i can swap them back and forth as needed.
this is the civil defense survival kit http://www.hawkepaks.com/prod.itml/icOid/212 This bag has plenty of pockets and when closed looks like any other messenger bag. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5225/5672445723_daa6f60166_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5190/5672445745_4d9d66f8f0_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5267/5672445741_a13733dbd4_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5026/5672445751_ed26619a78_z.jpg This is the smaller La Rue Bug Out Bag also made by Hawkepak. Very tough construction. It came with extra straps and buckles and has many different attachment points. I set mine up to hold to my thigh or belt. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5024/5673053362_257b0f99a8_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5268/5673053372_0565a9ab12_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5149/5673053352_967458d196_z.jpg |

I like it, comfy to wear and practical. I bought it primarily for hunting, but it's AK application potential is obvious. |

CXS, on the 3rd pic from the top there is something wedged on your left side between your pistol mags and your side, what is it ? Is it an AK mag you just stuffed in there ? Just curious.

So I had to tactical reload with just my left hand and tucked the (Still Good) AK mag between my love handle and pistol mags on my left side... CXS |

I found 762Tactical and won't buy anyone else's gear for my AK's now.
The Tacos are good for a quick reload mag pouch, but didn't offer enough retention for a dedicated setup. I bought a 762Tactical chicom chest rig in coyote and love it. Very well made especially for only $45! Made in the USA. http://762tactical.com/chest-rigs/chicom-chest-rig.html This is one I've been eyeing as well. http://762tactical.com/chest-rigs/c-i-a-chest-rig.html |

The start of my gear for future training courses and zombie apocalypse.
Flickr link Not sure if I really need an admin pouch but at the very least I want to add a velcro panel so I can attach a no penicilllin patch and other things that may strike my fancy. I'll probably attach my Boker MPT somewhere on the left side. I'm thinking of keeping my right side clear for my pistol but might add the HSGI universal pouch there if it will fit and still clear my handgun. On the left I'm thinking of something for hydration if there is room once I get the TT dump pouch installed. If nothing else will fit I think it's still a decent set up for my non-military or LEO use. Thanks to the forum for all the info, especially the thread on the MOLLE II FLC LVB, such a great deal :) |

UW Gear Inc. by Diz and Hawkeye I have ordered one and an honest, thorough review with video will be forthcoming. I have no financial interest in the company. |

You guys crack me up. That looks so much like the 762Tactical, but the 762Tactical is about half the price and has been reviewed as solid gear. To each his own, I guess. I'm all about good gear at affordable prices.

I've been using Tacos since they first came out and haven't had an issue with mag retention They retain mags just fine for casual range use, but too much of the mag is exposed and all that is holding it in is the shock cord tension. Plus, they are bulky to run more than one line across the front of a plate carrier, and over priced for what they are (just my opinion). The bungee cord upgrades you mentioned do not work well for the AK's (yes, I tried that). The tabs they sell are not made to hook on the corner of the bottom of the AK magazine t hold them in. As far as velcro, I know some people like to put the one inch square of velcro on the magazine, but that seems kind of jerry rigged to me, so I never tried it. The Tacos are good pouches, but not my preference for an AK pouch. |

I haven't had this problem but I could see it being a problem with the longer 30 round magazines. You'll laugh but I've used that same plate carrier with real weight AR airsoft magazines while playing airsoft games. I'm talking going though window frames, up and down stairs, going prone in a hurry, ect, ect, basically running harder and jumping around more than you will at even a tactical rifle course and I haven't lost a magazine for my airsoft rifle yet. |

I got rid of my high speed gear after doing a class with a ton of movement and switched to an old school LBV with Tacos. If you're thinking about any prone shooting though, the higher it sits the better.
