I don't have a TA33, but I do have a TA31. I don't know what the eye relief is like on the TA33, but you may want to use a full size lower to ensure that you can look through it without having your head on the back of the stock:

I do point of aim point of impact on the ACOGs and don't worry as much about the BDC part. The TA33 was a 7.62 reticule anyway so no point on a 545 gun

I sold the TA33 because I really disliked the amber chevron. It is extremely small and I could not get used to. I suppose Kashtan and the PSO have really spoiled me on the perfect chevron, but the TA31 green horseshoe reticule is one of my all time favorite optics.

My TA33G-13 (7.62x39 horseshoe reticle) is zeroed at 100 yards.  The BDC is good out to the 300 yards I have shot it.  Don't really need/intend to take it out any further than that.

When I asked Trijicon, they told me the BDC is calibrated to a 123 gr. bullet with a BC of .270, and a muzzle velocity of 2355 fps.

Eyeballed it up pretty close. Just needed a tiny bit of adjustment to get centered. Ran through standing, kneeling, sitting and prone. Eye relief is good. Loctited everything down. Gotta get to the range to zero.

I had TA33-8. Great optic just didn't like the tiny chevron
