The bushnell just came out and I'm a bit unsure of its durability. The other two have been out. I like the primary arms scope alot but vortex has a lifetime warranty while the primary arms I believe only has a three year warranty. I can't seem to decide on which one i want. Thanks in advance.

Sight on AK?  I do not think so. I like the open sights on my under folder.

How much magnification do you want?
Primary arms has some good options; I would recommend their 3x with 762x39/ .300 blk ACSS reticle.
You can mount it low if you remove the spacer and have an ACOG mount:

http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-3x-compact-prism-scope-with-the-patented-762x39300bo-acss-reticle/p/pac3xak300bo/

if you want a variable, their 1-6x is also good, but consider the Hi-Lux Leatherwood CMR-AK 1-4x with 762x39/ .300blk BDC and illuminated reticle, it is out of your price range, however.

I shoot mainly irons as well, but optics certainly have its place- especially on a 5.45 AK. And through the magic of a side rail mount, you can take it off with a quick throw of a lever.

I'm looking at the Millet 1-4 DMS model, myself. It has a 1MOA illuminated dot surrounded by the donut for close quarters shooting. The Primary Arms reticle is too cluttered in my opinion and I've never cared for chevrons.
