Primary Arms is about to re-release the 1-6x24 scope within the next month or so. I've been watching and waiting for this scope for the last year or so. However recently the 4x Compact has caught my attention.

I'm looking at mounting it on my WASR 10/63 with the TWS Dogleg and Romanian wire folder with AMD-65 Tech cheek rise and recoil pad. Mostly would be used on my farm and stored in my urban apartment at times. Not looking at being a DMR.

Both scopes are very close in price and well made.

Main issues that I see are:
- The variable scope is almost the entire length of the TWS rail and weighs over a pound with rings.
-Variable scopes tend to require a throw lever for ease of use
- 4x Compact has a high mount from pictures I've seen

Has anyone ran either scope on a TWS Dogleg? How low can the Compact be mounted? Would the Variable scope be too big for the TWS length wise?

Any suggestions or advice would be helpful. However I am not changing from the TWS and feel satisfied with its abilities and short comings.

I run the lil'brother, ( the 2.5X Fixed ) on my 5.56 Saiga conversion AK and it is very nice.

RS product Side Mount with the ACOG base attachement is great!

OP, I would also like to see someone with the experience to answer your questions.

I just ordered a TWS dog leg and would like to know a bit more about mounting the Primary Arms 4 x prism ACSS scope on it as well.

Maybe someone will come along and give us the information we are seeking.
