I'm changing my Arsenal SLR-107FR into a kind of pseudo Afghan era AKS-74, I'm planning to use an original double clip sling and I'm wondering if there is a way I could mount it to the other (non ejection side) of the folding stock?

I really hate how the sling loops around the rifle and I almost never fold it, so if it were to interfere with latching it in the closed position it wouldn't hurt my feelings.

I'd like something that would look period even if it's not, would something like paracord accomplish this?

I appreciate any tips or suggestions.
