Anyone take the plunge on it, I haven't found any reviews and is it worth dishing out the cash for it, might make a nice addition to one of my '74s so any help would be appreciated.

I googled it and found a review on the firearms blog I think it was. I'll link it in a second. Not too terribly lengthy, but it's something. Looks interesting though. I will say I've always been leary of Russian optics, but full disclosure, I've never seen or handled any. I'm sure they make them like they make the AK.

I really wanted one until I saw the price. $1500 is approaching genuine Elcan territory. Not worth it to me.

Elcan Specter DR is priced at $2300. I would call $800-$900 a small difference.

Btw, I have both.

Too bad it isn't a 7.62 reticle.

Also, seems expensive.

Looks like a decent competitor to the DR, I'm sure as more get introduced to the commercial market we'll probably start seeing more reviews pop up.

Yes, but a Spectre DR in good shape can be found for $1800 or so. I had an SU-230 for a little while and I paid $1850 for it.

ETA: Looks like price went up on the DR. Kerif sold the Spectre DR for $1900 a few months ago.
