This project has stemmed from a lack of options for mounting a Trijicon RMR on an Arsenal SLR-104UR as low as possible without changing the Handguard configuration. I started out with a StormWerks Krinkov dust cover optic mount. Mounting the RMR directly to the StormWerks picatinny rail has the optic pretty high off the rifle, and it just wasn't what I wanted.
I purchased a Trijicon RM34 mount and went to work.
First I removed the picatinny portion of the StormWerks mount with the exception of the rear bar. Then I cut a groove in the bottom of the RM34 to lock the two pieces together with zero movement.
The next step is to drill and tap the RM34 and bolt it to the StormWerks mount. I believe when finished, it will be a rock solid way to field the Trijicon RMR on a Krinkov pattern rifle.
More to follow when complete!
