I want to get the aimpoint 9000sc off my Ak's ultimak. I kind of wanted to keep cowitness so I was looking at MI's 30mm side mount, but it only has one ring. I was concerned though that having a longer aimpoint supported at only one point might risk damage if it gets hit. Anyone think I'd be safe doing this or should I look at MI's railed side mount?

I have a 9000SC-2X, and it's size and weight requires 2 rings. You might get by with one ring on the 9000SC, but it probably would be better suited with two.

I went with Aimpoint 30mm low rings with mine on a KV-04 mount:
