Ok, ive been doing a little research. If I understand correctly I can bolt the T1 straight to the Ultimak and get a 1/3 cowitness, and it would seem, without any issues resulting from heat from the rifle bieng expelled on the direct connection, great. However, would using a mount, especially the GG&G bolt on mount I expressed interest in, offer any advantage over the direct connection? How would that change the sight picture or rather the degree of cowitness? Would using the GG&G mount result in cowitness? Ready to order here, awaiting this final bit of information. Thanks.

The mount that the Aimpoint micros come with allow for co-witness.
The only quick disconnect mount that I know of that allows co-witness is the Aimpoint made Micro LRP kit, which converts the stock mount to a quick detach. Aftermarket mounts are not ideal on an AK with Ultimak due to height, the stock set up is the best I have seen. |

Thanks. I talked to GG&G today and they were right up front, telling me that their mount woild not work for what i want to do. Looks like ill just skip it and go with the aimpoint integral mount straight on the ultimak.
