If I have this right, you want to mount the eotech on the rails of a front handguard or gas tube? I would personally use a side rail mount if possible, or even a TWS Dogleg rail.
The downsides of having it on the handguard rail is the weight is up in the front. Also, there won't be any sort of co-witness with the sight. If you're still interested, there are several railed handguards on the market that would fit the bill. Krebs, Midwest Industries, UTG (holds a decent zero for a good price), B&T. There's also the Ultimak railed gas tube. |

This rifle does not have a side rail to mount to. Hence, the alternative direction.

The EOTech 512 would be a big ass optic to have over the handguard.
IMO the TWS Dogleg would easily be the best option for an SLR95. |
