Those 10 dollar front site adjustment tools are pretty much junk. You know, they are black, sold by places like TAPCO, cost about $10-15 on average.

Can someone recommend one that actually works without breaking the blood vessels in your hand? Any recommendations, please!

x2, I've had my $10 Tapco sight tool for years and have used it on 20 rifles at the absolute minimum, it has always worked fine. Use a tool of some sort for leverage and you should be fine, otherwise apply some heat or penetrating oil to the front sight drum first to loosen it up.

Do a search and find yourself someone that sells the "AKFST". I got mine from midwayUSA, though I'm sure you could find it anywhere else. I think it cost me about $26, but it's worth the money. The front sight block on my SGL21 was crooked (as I understand is the case with lots and lots of AKs...), so it took me a minute to get it sighted it properly, and this thing not breaking on me really helped.

I second the AKFST tool. I found one on Amazon a while back after seeing them suggested here. It is very strong and moved the site very easily on my SGL21-62. It is so nice having POI and POE the same now.

The Polytech sight adjustment tools are beefy and nice too.
