Will Magpul produce a 20 round Pmag (7.62x39)?

I was surprised to see the 10 released before the 20.  What are people using the 10s for? Just compliance with mag-limit laws in states like California or something else?

Apparently they're perfect for shooting off a bench rest. Didn't know there was such a big demand for that with AK's

really?  you wouldn't want to wait for the M3 reinforced versions?

I don't want first generation all plastic...

hopefully they come out with an M3/reinforced 40 round variant as well

Nah, they will just be used for range use or stashed away to sell later on.I would imagine it would be over a year before they did a steel reinforced version and then the price will go up to where its not worth it for a 20 round mag

I only rely on steel com bloc mags for anything other than plinking around the house.

The 20's would go nice with my UF and 107UR as they are smaller and lighter.

You expecting a civil war in the next year?

Realistically, there aren't too many people on this forum that will wear or otherwise damage the feedlips on a non-reinforced magazine in their lifetime.  Off the bench or otherwise at the range, they'll be fine - how many Rob Ski AK pushups are really happening out there?  For defense, steel.

I've had good luck with the Magpul AK MOE 30s but don't have a lot of them, for $13 I'd rather have a steel surplus mag.

But in 20s there's not as many options. Hungarian Tankers ($28), Tapcos ($8), & Koreans ($9). Or cut one down yourself. So if Magpul is rolling out a solid 20 rounder for $13 I personally don't care if it's reinforced or not.

Me personally if I'm spending over $25 bucks on a 20 rounder I'l probably just get some more Tankers. But those won't be around forever. I've looked at getting some of my Romy surplus mags cut down to 20s but that's gonna run me around 8 bucks a pop, and to wind up with a mag as good a condition as my Tankers I'd have to start with a like new Hungarian and last one I bought was $16.

Can't wait for these. They're gonna look great in my mini Draco.

I wonder if they will actually work in my AK, haven't found a non-steel mag that will fit.

A 10 round mag makes an AK legal for deer hunting here in Missouri. I have seen a few people use them for deer hunting.

I got two of the Pmag 20s today.  I ordered direct from Magpul when I got the email saying they were available this week.  They look great, and I assume they will work as well as the 30s.

I got them for my PTR 32 kfr.  Although gen 2 was supposed to work with a wider variety of AK mags, the Pmags work the best.  I have used the 30s and 10s so far without issues.

Tried ordering some from Magpul but they must be out, wasn't able to add any to cart.
Midway & Brownells doesn't list them on their sites yet, but AIM Surplus does, and showed them in stock as of last night, so I placed an order.
$12.30 & free shipping.
Same here, wanted some for my PTR 32.

http://www.circle10ak.com/AKMagazines.shtml This is obviously obsolete by now but if anyone REALLY wants a 20 rounder now there's the Tanker conversion here. Can't find any info on "CMCS" though...

My 20s arrived Saturday from AIM Surplus. They seem to fit as well as the MOE 30s in my WASR, Draco & PTR-32.
For less than half the price of a Hungarian Tanker and just a few bucks more than a Tapco they're a good deal.

The MOE 20s work fine in my WASR, Draco & PTR-32, they fit just like my MOE 30s, no filing or modding.

For anyone not aware, Desert Fox & Arms of America both have FEG Hungarian Tanker mags for $20 ea. right now. The thread on AK Files forum also has a free shipping code for Desert Fox.

Any long gun needs to be shot from a rested position for sighting in. You definitely have a problem if all you have is a 30 round mag. I actually prefer the 5-round AK mag for this purpose.
