I do too but an ammo can does not hold very many mags even a big can.

Heavy weight cardboard boxes.  They are discreet.

Empty ones are in tubs similar to what Whiskerz posted. Loaded ones (only a couple dozen) in pelican 1200 boxes; six per box.

The last witness hole is vacant since the intent on these is to hopefully remain loaded & unused forever; hence they're loaded only to 28. (Let's please not start a spring debate. I'm an old fart, set in my ways, and it's a done deal. ) That's also the same reason they're in these overly-expensive, watertight, crush-proof boxes in the first place. These are meant to be (hopefully) still in this same state, in these same boxes, through my grandkids' lifetimes.

I like 20MM ammo cans for the empty ones. I keep my loaded ones in magazine pouches.

Not trying to bust your balls, but 'fully loading' an AK magazine doesn't share the same 'problems' you get with fully loading an AR magazine. AK magazines that are built properly have no flaws in terms of keeping them loaded to full capacity, unlike some other designs most notably the AR-15... Generally speaking even fully loading most production magazines for the AR isn't going to cause problems besides having a 'harder time' pushing into the mag-well if your bolt is home.

Anyway, this is also part of the reason the Russians didn't bother incorporating a BHO to the AK design. This is one of those things that many refer to as 'loose tolerance', that is the locking of the magazine into an AK is less susceptible to problems other 'tighter' designs may have.

But what works for you is what works, don't let me tell you how to stir your coffee

Also I want to share a little tip for preserving the 'rubber seal' on your storage cans/cases. I like to rub a little 'vegetable oil' on the rubber seals to keep them from 'drying-out/cracking' as easily, been doing this for years with my cans and the seals work flawlessly. Also keep some silica-gel bags in with the goodies helps as well

That mag can is cool. But will it work with AK mags?

Looks nice but seems like there is alot of space wasted. If you packed those mags tightly together you could probably fit another 9 mags maybe.

In mag pouches (protects the nicer ones from scraping each other), in a plain old common tote box like they sell for 5 bucks at wally world.
