THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT

I just wanted to pass this along because I think these drums are a great deal; they'll probably go up a lot in price over the next year.

I ordered two of these drums and the photo above is the one in the 'worst' condition, but it's still in great shape IMO. The other looks literally new, unissued so you can just picture it I suppose because I forgot to take a pic

They were loaded with cosmoline and I took the pics after I put them in the oven at 150 for the 2nd time (almost got it all out, still baking for the 3rd time currently). But remember, cosmoline is our friend––-it's just kind of annoying to get out.

I got mine in the mail today. I'll definitely be ordering another (or 5!).

Mine doesn't have any cosmo.

It does show usage, but nothing to worry about/out of the norm. It also has what appears to be carbon residue from use.

A quick wipe down cleaned most of that off, and now it's time for a range session on Friday for function testing/confirmation.

Are these the "Top Loading" drums? If so, how do you disassemble them for cleaning? I have a couple and I am embarrassed to say that I didn't know they could be opened

Yes, they're top loaders. To disassemble you just stick a flathead screwdriver in the knob on the back, turn it 90 degrees, then twist the knob. Then, pull apart. I can make a little video and post it when I get back home in a week or so if anyone wants...?

I don't have a top loader but I don't mind learning for the hell of it.

Do the top loaders have the same deathly rattle as the back loaders?

You and I think alike––-I'm always down to learn about guns and gun related things. I'll post it here when I upload it.

As for the rattle––-kind of. They rattle but no where near the way the back loaders do.
