Quick question for everybody. Ive got a one of the century arms ak74 built on a nodak spud receiver. All the mags I have for the gun lockup tight which include russian plum, circle 10,21, tantal mags, steel mags etc.I have about 1800 rounds through it haven't had one problem yet.Granted I have replaced the barrel with a original Bulgarian ak74 barrel .I have tried 4 or 5 different east German Bakelite mags and each one had have severe side to side mag wobble. They alll were sold do to this. All the east German mags worked fine when fired though. Just wondering what could be the issue.

Thanks.

Polymer mags are often thicker where the mag inserts.

If they wiggle but work their isn't really a problem.

Test, push the mag as far to one side as possible, shoot until mag empty, refill and push the mag to the other side, shoot until empty, if it works then you have no problem.

Bakelite's are looser in my AK as well, but I actually prefer them. They are IMHO much easier to quickly load into the weapon than polys.

Agreed with above.

Mine are that way with Nodak, Romanian, and Arsenal.

Succinct, to the point, and correct.
