I have used the Hot Shot in 7.62x39 it was kinda dirty but shot well. Don't know about the .223.

I have shot a ton of it and still plenty of the 7.62X39, but never have seen the .223 around. If it is as good as the 7.62, you will love it.

I had a case and shot it through a Zastava M85, and a few AR15s and it was fine. A bit dirty, but no issues.
