The M67 is corrosive but good ammo.

My list of the top 3 are-

1- Uly 8M3 -Early 1990's Russian import, very hard to find now.I managed to grab 1250 rounds of this with 660 of it in a sealed spam can last week.
2- Yugo M67
3 -Golden Tiger

I can't seem to get any of it.

After Golden Tiger came out and got such good reports, I tried a few boxes. I had two cases of M67 at that time and had sighted in with it. I found M67 to be the most accurate of the 'inexpensive' ammo I had tried. So, the GT shot to the same place and same size group. As much as I liked the M67, I really did not want to have to keep de-salting the weapons after every shoot, so I sold my M67 and bought GT.

Between the two, Golden Tiger. If you have the inclination to reload, though, it would be pretty great to get the Berdan to boxer tool and police your Yugo brass.

I have an okay pile of Uly 8HP, but I'd love to add more and add 8M3. Of the ammo I've shot to date, the 8HP has been the most accurate out of my VEPR (notably more than the Hornady steel-cased ammo, which surprised me).

To me the only reason to have M67 is you shoot at a range that do not allow steel projectiles. I have M67, it does not shoot much better, if any, than Wolf steel case in my 7.62x39 bolt gun. I would not run M67 thru my semi-auto because it is corrosive and I don't want to clean the gas system of semi.

Since SGAmmo doesn't ship to NY, no GT. Guess its M67 for me. Since Mini 30s are part of the mix I'll have to start stocking M67 to avoid reliability issues as well as the relative ease of reloading berdan brass compared to steel case.

I shoot both from an AK, an AR & a VZ2008.

I find the M67 loaded hotter than the GT, hot enough the POI is slightly higher at 100 yards. The AR groups M67 tighter than GT, but no noticeable difference in the AK or VZ.

I think the last case of M67 I bought was only a penny a round cheaper than GT.

Right now the best thing about M67 is that it's brass case/copper jacket, none of the indoor ranges close to me allow steel cased ammo so I usually drive 45 minutes to a public outdoor range. M67 is cheap ammo to use when I hit one of the local indoor ranges.

Corrosive ammo isn't hard to clean but if you don't do it correctly & promptly you'll find out fast. Big plus for non-corrosive GT is having the option of skipping a cleaning.

Unless you stocked up in the 80's or earlier, sub $.15 a round is a pretty good deal for brass.

Sorry, its sold out. That went fast.

It was 3 crates  of 1120 of Yugo M67, totaling 3360 rds for $397 shipped to me.

That is the catch, yes. However, Yugo is some of the best X39 ammo around.

If you start from the top of this thread, some have posted similar M67 type ammo that doesnt live up to the true Yugo stuff. Cleaning after shooting though is the important part.

Looks like there are a few posts in this ammo section talking about M67 ammo.

Gotcha. I just read on another thread that someone ordered it and it actually was only 1120 rounds.

Yup. Just got off with CTD chat for refund. Would have been fantastic deal.

Yugo is still great though.

Orders are being refunded so that they can increase the price and put it back "In Stock".

Business as usual for CTD I see...what a bunch of crappy shitters...was it a mistake?  Of course it was.  This sells for .24 cpr and up everywhere else.  But in retail until you actually change the price on an error, you honor it.  This is like noting you have something priced wrong on the shelf and running around the store and marking up the price on the items in peoples carts and baskets - you don't do that.  You honor the prices for those that it was priced wrong at.

I don't care what they have, they will never ever get 1 red (or brown) cent form me ever again.

CTD - you are on here (shouldn't be, but I don't make the rules and those that do allow your cheating ass to stay)...I danced a jig on your doorstep the day the McKinney store shut down and I'll do the same when your entire sorry retail business goes to hell where it belongs....ok, off my soapbox now.

GT shoots about 2.5" higher than Hornady SST or Rem SP in my 16" AR. That stuff is HOT anddd non-corrosive aaannddd sealed up aaannnnndddd produced to Russian mil-spec standards IIRC.

It's good shit.

GT is nice because of the projectile design and the sealing. Otherwise, it's fairly mediocre stuff (average velocity and construction).

I was always under the impression that the only ammo hotter than it was the Yugo? IIRC the Yugo was only a bit faster.

Not from what I saw and I tested older and newer stuff. (I ended up ultimately testing about 45 different brands and types, 20 rds out of a M92 and 20 rds out of a SAM7 all shot through an Oehler 35p).

They are both nice and good buys, but if you are looking for something beyond plinking fodder, buy Prvi (speed and consistent) or Horandy (slower and consistent).
