I did some shooting this weekend with the WASR. I had Golden Tiger 124gr FMJBT and Tula 122gr FMJ with me. I'm not sure of distance, probably only around 30 yards. I happened to find a couple fired bullets in the dirt behind the target:

Golden Tiger on the left, Tula on the right:





All bullets struck the same patch of dirt, but the Golden Tiger bullets seemed to deform much more. I wish I would have found more for a larger sample size.

That's good! Think of what the GT will do to a hog! Or a home invader, for that matter.

Both flattened out pretty well and that usually indicates tumbling which is what we want....In any even I prefer Golden Tiger for it's better case sealing.

It's pretty common for 7.62x39 FMJ's to "shit" the lead out the back of the jacket on impact.
