I can only afford to buy a few boxes a week, but the Monarch has been what I've been buying for a while.
It runs fine and accuracy is on par with the rest of the Russian ammo. No problems to report

It's standard Barnaul fare, equivalent to Wolf. As you mentioned it's basically Brown Bear.. GTG.

I like it, plus it has a lacquer finish that I like better than polymer.

The 7.62x39 lacquered case Monarch is made by Barnaul, who also makes Brown Bear. It's gtg.

Both 7.62 and 5.45 Monarch ammo have never given me problems. My Romy AK and Chinese SKS shoot the 7.62 ammo with no problems; and the VEPR I used to own never had a problem with the 5.45 ammo.

Shot a ton of it, Russian ammo re-branded as Academy's house brand as noted by others, great stuff, no issues whatsoever in a bunch of shooting with x39, .223, and 9mm.

Goes bang like everything else I put through my Romy 10. Haven't noticed any difference in hitting what I aim at.

Yup, same here, I shoot Monarch 7.62x39 & 5.45x39, in my area it's the best bang for the buck if you're buying ammo a box at a time. Their .223 and 9mm rounds are great also.
