I know a lot of people including myself spoke about fighting this but I haven't seen anything in our favor lately. Anybody know of anything new?

If it's like the 1990's 7.62x39 steel core ban then it's here to stay.

Haven't heard anything new.  I'm sure the current administration's Injustice  Department would spend the taxpayer's last dime fighting a reversal of ATF's 7N6 ban.

MEH... IF the USA lifts its ban, then we wont be getting those Chinese Norinco 7.62x39s and 5.45s where we live. They are dumping Chinese surplus in my part of the planet. Stuff stamped for the year '05

Leave a few scraps for your friends out there

From what I have read it is not a "BAN" customs has stopped accepting any request for the import of 5.45x39 steel core ammo.
It ends up the same as a ban but they haven't gone through the process of actuality banning this ammo.
I don't know if it is because they don't have the power, or the banning process takes too long but ether way nothing is coming through the ports.

I wonder why no one pushed for a sporting exemption like m855 has.

Probably because it doesn't affect nearly as many shooters.

I bought my first case at between 8 to 9 cpr, it is not as much fun when you are close to dropping a quarter every time you pull the trigger.

Yeah Dan's Sporting Goods has it for about that, don't know of any other vendor that does though.  Private sales bringing about the same money too.

NRA got a few Republican congress critters to bug ATF about their 7N6 "ban" but that'll fall on deaf ears.

Went to a show today, cans run from $250-215 each, I was lucky to find one can for $130. I think the panic has died a bit.

The problem is, none of us, nor the NRA, have standing to challenge this in court.  (Or so I believe).

a little bit off topic but was curious if anyone has bought any handguns from dansammo.com before? Found something that peeked my interests.

Yes, just picked one up today.  Better than advertised, hope to shoot,it tomorrow.  He ships, pretty  promptly & is 100% reliable.  This includes (back on topic) the 5.45 Russian tins he still has in stock.  They are indeed $410 a crate, but ya gotta add cost of shipping to that number.
